Holidaying on Lanzarote
In 1994 Lanzarote was elected by the UNESCO a biosphere reserve. The volcanic island is part of the seven Canarian Islands and located 130 km off the African shore.
Lanzarote has a lot to offer for any kind of tourist. If you feel like relaxing in the sun at a beautiful beach you should go to Puerto del Carmen or Costa Teguise. These are the biggest touristic settlements with a lot of very nice Lanzarote hotels. They are the perfect starting point for many excursions, for example if you want to go hiking or mountainbiking. It is also very recommendable to rent a car and explore the island on your own.
It is very easy to come to Lanzarote because there are very cheap flights lanzarote, operated by many different airlines. It only takes you about 4 hours to get to a whole different world and escape your daily routine.

Arrecife is the biggest city of Lanzarote where the airport is located as well as many stores, shops, restaurants, cafés and bars. It's only a 5-10 min drive from Costa Teguise and there are also busses you can use.
